Brazil produces and exports a lot of food. In fact, it is one of the largest suppliers of agricultural products in the world, third only to the European Union and the United States. Unfortunately, a lot of food in the country is lost even before it reaches supermarkets and homes. Through the virtual reality film From Waste to Taste, you are introduced to chef Rodrigo, a couple, Rosemberg and Maria Celia, and Deise, an alternative cooking teacher, to see how Brazilians are fighting against food waste and teaching future generations about the importance of food waste management. Each of them take their own role in a food management chain that redistributes donated food that would have otherwise been thrown away in Rio de Janeiro.
